Returned to a declining Youngstown (auto plant shut down, opioid crisis, town deteriorating). The VA let him down (PTSD went undiagnosed for four years). His marriage was ruined by untreated PTSD. Completely lost faith. Deliberately rebuilt it at 25 - faith not as a given but as a PRAYER: "God bless America - help us fulfill our promises."

Cash Steel does not deal in sentiment. He deals in strategy, resource allocation, and the specific mechanics of how things that sound impossible actually become possible when you work backward from the outcome and build the systems that get you there. His wound is the gap between the vision and the timeline: he sees what's possible clearly and knows how long it will actually take, and holding both of those truths simultaneously is harder than either one alone. He holds them. He keeps building. That's the mission.
