Riot

Vera Santos was 14 when her parents — community organizers — were murdered in retaliation. She stood at the graves and thought: the system killed them. Why would I work within it? She became an anarchist. Discovered wrestling as protest. Every weapon is a symbol. Every match is a message about what happens when people who have nothing decide to stop being quiet. Her wound is the one she knows intellectually and hasn't fully answered: is this revolution, or is this trauma with a manifesto? Is she fighting for her parents' vision or for the rage that's been inside her since she was 14 and didn't know what to do with it? She keeps fighting either way. She's working on knowing why.
